Film Experiences

UCLA MFA Thesis Short: Madman's Diary

I was honored to have the opportunity to participate in UCLA graduate student Michelle Li's MFA Thesis Short production: Madman's Diary. As my first time on set, I acquired a wealth of information from the professional team: from the basic set etiquette to the specific procedures of making a film.

During my first day on set, I was the script supervisor and worked alongside the director. On the second day, I worked as a PA and mainly assisted the production designer. I participated in completing the set design and exploring how we can create a hazing bird cage.

More than the hard-core knowledge, I was able to experience atmosphere of the production set: everyone put in their greatest efforts and paid attention to the slightest details. I was amazed by their teamwork and dedication.
