Penn Pre-College
Introduction to Micro Economics
Because the program was six weeks in total, we had a midterm exam (worth 25% of the course grade) by the third week of school. As a high school student, I am not familiar with fast-pased learning, and this course posed a challenge for me. However, as an individual who values this summer experience at Penn's industrious learning atmosphere, I aimed to achieve high scores, enhancing my learning while exploring outside of my comfort zone. Before the exam, I reviewed my notes, scrutinized the professor's slideshows, read the textbook, finished practice exams, and asked questions to ensure that I was not misunderstanding any of the material. In the end, I was able to achieve a GPA of 4.0 for this course. Moreover, I gained insight into the graphical representations of various market structures and how government interventions could impact the market.
Skills enhanced:

Introduction to Experimental Psychology
During the course, I studied the foundations of neuroscience, what drives human action, and how behaviors are generated. After discussing a topic during class, Professor Di Rocco asked us to submit a reflection for a guiding question that he posts on Canvas. To ensure the authenticity of my response, I conducted research on various neurological studies and psychological experiments. In the end, I was able to achieve a GPA of 4.0 in this course. After this cource, I gained a better understanding of the functions of different lobes of our brain and how they collaborate to create the "virtual reality" that we experience through our senses.
